On occasion, the WNYSLC hosts zoom events focussed on different aspects of service-learning.
Experiential Learning as Career Preparation
This one-hour zoom lunch-and-learn session explores how service-learning, community engagement, internships, civic projects, research, and other real-world experiences can become intentional pathways to career readiness. Participants will examine how to design meaningful experiences that allow students to apply academic knowledge, develop transferable skills, explore careers, build professional networks, and demonstrate competencies to employers.
Audience: The session is designed for community partners, faculty, staff, and students and emphasizes the importance of connecting what students do with what they are learning, and where experiences can take them professionally.
Date/Time: Friday, September 25 (12:00-1:00PM)
